The two Hindi words Pavitra –Pure and Paapi – Sinner are antonyms which the world today is full of. Everyone in this world today is a mixture of both Pavitra and Paapi either with their actions or their thoughts. Not going to deep into it, I decided to use these two words and create my own expression wherein I could explore the diversification of these words.
India is a land of paradox where thinking or speaking about certain things is a taboo yet we are the world’s 2nd largest population.. Herein lays the Pavitra & Paapi sides of a human which is why I had decided to come up with unique quotes and messages which everyone can relate with.
It hasn’t been an easy journey considering the audience which follows a closely guarded “Indian” culture that cheers while watching exotic item numbers on screen but feels insecure discussing about topics like Sex, Condoms, and makes fun of people who are Lesbians or Gay!!
To make things easier, I decided to go ahead with a series of t-shirts which have a humor content that the audience can relate with. The humor is what the buyers have been hooked on allowing me to come out with a variety of new tag lines for my t-shirt range!!
Social Media many say has been a boon and a curse for this generation, but I found my calling when I realized that I don’t need to own a store and sell my products from there, I found my first few buyers through one of the Social Media platforms and from thereon, the journey of brand Pavitra Paapi has not looked back!!
